NDIS Day Program Gold Coast | Social Space

Social & Skills Development Day Program for Teens & Young Adults

Social Space is a structured NDIS day program on the Gold Coast, designed for teens and young adults who benefit from routine, consistency, and supported skill development in a calm, small-group environment.

As a leading NDIS day program on the Gold Coast, Social Space supports participants to build independence, social confidence, and real-world life skills through structured, activity-based sessions.

Designed for participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability, Down syndrome, and other neurodevelopmental disabilities, the program focuses on building practical, real-world skills that support independence and everyday functioning.

Social Space runs Monday to Friday with flexible booking options:

All Day · 9:00am – 5:00pm
Morning Session · 9:00am – 12:30pm
Afternoon Session · 1:30pm – 5:00pm

As a structured NDIS day program, Social Space provides consistent weekday support for participants working towards increased independence, social confidence, and daily living skills.

Rather than unstructured time or passive support, each session is designed with clear intent, combining hands-on activities with supported skill development in a predictable and low-pressure environment.

Program Design

Social Space is intentionally designed as a structured, small group NDIS day program for participants with moderate support needs.

The program uses:

  • Consistent routines to support predictability and reduce overwhelm

  • Small group ratios to allow for individualised support within a group setting

  • Structured activities to support skill development across multiple domains

Rather than focusing on passive participation, the program supports participants to actively engage in tasks that build independence and functional capacity.

Activities are practical, supported, and purpose-driven, allowing participants to practise real-world skills such as:

  • Following multi-step tasks

  • Participating in group settings

  • Navigating social interactions

  • Building confidence in community environments

Who Social Space Is For

This program is best suited to participants whose goals include:

  • Building independence in daily living tasks

  • Developing social confidence and communication skills

  • Increasing tolerance for routine and structured environments

  • Participating safely and confidently in community-based activities

  • Capacity Building – Increased Social and Community Participation

The appropriate support category will depend on the participant’s goals, plan structure, and the outcomes being worked towards.

This NDIS day program is designed as a structured, skill-based program that supports participants to:

  • build independence in daily living tasks

  • develop social communication and interaction skills

  • increase confidence in community environments

  • strengthen routine, emotional regulation, and participation

All supports are delivered in line with the participant’s NDIS plan and should be discussed with their Support Coordinator or Plan Manager to ensure the correct funding category is applied.
