Our Bowling & Social Group is a weekly NDIS social group on the Gold Coast designed to support participants to build friendships, confidence, and everyday social skills through consistent, community-based activities.
This program combines structured outings with supported social interaction, giving participants regular opportunities to practise communication, teamwork, and independence in a relaxed, inclusive environment.
What Is the Bowling & Social Group?
The Bowling & Social Group is an NDIS-funded social group on the Gold Coast focused on community access, social connection, and skill development for adults and young people.
Each session includes a supported bowling outing at a local Gold Coast bowling alley, followed by a shared lunch prepared together at our Nerang Hub. The day is structured to balance fun, routine, and skill-building, helping participants feel safe and confident while still encouraging independence.
This is not a one-off outing. It is a consistent, predictable NDIS social group that supports long-term confidence and connection.
What Happens in This NDIS Social Group?
Each Tuesday, participants take part in a full-day program that includes:
Visiting a different Gold Coast bowling alley each week
Participating in friendly, supported bowling games
Practising social skills such as turn-taking, communication, and teamwork
Returning to the Hub to plan and prepare lunch together
Spending time connecting with peers in a relaxed, structured setting
Activities are supported by experienced staff and adapted to suit individual needs, energy levels, and social comfort.
Participants are encouraged to join in at their own pace, with flexibility built into every session.

Why Bowling Works as an NDIS Social Group Activity
Bowling offers a unique mix of structure and flexibility, making it ideal for social skill development within an NDIS social group setting.
Through this program, participants can:
Practise communication in a natural, real-world environment
Build confidence through familiar, repeated outings
Learn teamwork, patience, and turn-taking
Experience success without pressure or competition
Develop independence while still feeling supported
Because the activity is predictable and familiar, many participants find it easier to engage socially and build meaningful connections over time.
A Supportive Approach to Community Access
At Loving Life, community access is not about filling time or ticking boxes. It is about creating opportunities for genuine participation, real connection, and gradual confidence-building.
This NDIS social group on the Gold Coast is designed to be welcoming, consistent, and genuinely enjoyable, while still aligning with participant goals and NDIS requirements.
